No it’s not. A lot of us are suffering from inflammation, high stress, adrenal fatigue, and toxin exposure. Something as simple as finding out food sensitivities (gluten/dairy for instance) would be way more helpful then just “trying to lose weight.” Sometimes our bodies are in such a state of distress from the above mentioned reasons that weight loss is almost impossible. We have to be smart in how we get healthy. For instance, did you know that over exercise can lead to adrenal fatigue? We’re working out hard at the gym and taxing a vital system in our bodies so we feel awful. My advice – listen to your body. Don’t fight it. If you’re tired or in pain — find out the reason. I feel like I see people all the time being mean to their bodies and forcing them into these restrictive unhappy diets and then shaming themselves when they can’t follow those restrictions. I’d much rather love my body. That’s why my food is always highly delicious and high quality. I deserve the best. And guess what? I’m losing weight (3 pounds last week alone) while loving myself and my food. I didn’t try to lose weight though. I actually have been attempting to rid my body of uric acid and inflammation. That was my focus – not dieting. See the difference?
